Johannes heads up our commercial and litigation departments. He holds BA, LLB and LLM degrees from the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa, he was one of 20 students selected in 1999 for the new combined LLM/MComm degree created by the University of Pretoria. He also holds a certificate in strategic management from Georgetown University, Washington DC and currently enrolled for a LLM at the University of London. He is a former advocate of the High Court of South Africa and member of the Cape and National Bar Associations.
His litigation experience includes time spent with the London Bar. Johannes left the Cape Bar in 1997 to lead the litigation team of a prominent Cape Town based law firm. In January 2000 he established the firm of J S Spamer and Associates, which merged into Spamer Triebel in 2006. Johannes specializes in complex commercial and intellectual property litigation in various jurisdictions in the world.

Suné’s journey with Spamer Triebel Inc. started early in 2018 where she currently focuses on commercial law, corporate governance and litigation, both locally and abroad. After completing her BComm Law and LLB degrees at the University of the North West, Potchefstroom, with her final semester of postgraduate studies at the University of Leuven in Belgium in 2014, she ventured into corporate and commercial law with great curiosity.
Her practice focuses on various aspects of corporate governance, including anti-bribery and corruption, anti money laundering, privacy laws and data protection. She completed her postgraduate certificate in Strategic Management at Georgetown University, Washington DC in 2022 and graduated from University of London with a master’s degree in Advanced Commercial Law in 2026. She describes herself as a full-time learner and avid traveller.

Wessel attended the University of the Free State and obtained his LL. B degree in 2016 whilst working full time. After completing his articles, he was subsequently admitted as an Attorney and Notary in 2019 and further as an attorney of the High Court with right of appearance in 2022.
He has worked at several prominent law firms in Cape Town, where he gained a vast array of knowledge and made precedent judgments in the High Court that are still used today. He joined Spamer Triebel Inc. in October 2024 as a Senior Associate. He is well versed in various fields of law, and his practice focuses on General Litigation in all courts across South Africa; with a specific focus in Corporate & Commercial Law. He is currently busy with his master’s degree in International Taxation with the University of Cape Town. Wessel’s methodology to the law is to identify the crux of a problem, and to find a solution from there.

Gabriella obtained her LLB from the University of South Africa in 2022 and began her articles in March 2023. Before joining Spamer Triebel Inc., she gained valuable experience as a Candidate Attorney at a well-established law firm in the Northern Suburbs, where she built a solid foundation in various areas of legal practice. She joined Spamer Triebel Inc. as a Candidate Attorney in October 2024 and has since remained with the firm as an Associate.
Gabriella is committed to ongoing professional development and continues to deepen her knowledge and experience, particularly in the areas of commercial law, debt collection, and litigation. She brings a meticulous approach to her work, backed by a strong work ethic and a genuine commitment to client service. Gabriella is passionate about delivering clear, practical legal solutions and handles each matter with professionalism, precision, and care.

Nicholas Post matriculated from SACS in 2021 before attending Stellenbosch University, where he completed his LLB in 2025. He joined Spamer Triebel Inc. at the beginning of 2026 to commence his Practical Vocational Training as a Candidate Attorney.
During his studies, Nicholas developed a keen academic interest in Commercial Law, Private International Law, and Cyber Law. Driven by a commitment to leadership and development, he served as a student mentor and gained valuable practical insight through vacation work at several prominent Cape Town law firms.
Nicholas brings a diligent, solution-focused mindset to the firm. He is dedicated to delivering exceptional client service while continuing to develop his expertise in dispute resolution, regulatory compliance, and general commercial practice.
